Long-lasting Lipsticks that really stay

Posted April 13, 2016 by in Beauty Products

When I decided that it was time to start wearing bright coloured lipsticks (I have always been a nude/subtle lipstick girl), I knew that I needed to find a long-lasting lipstick with serious staying power.

There is nothing worse that arriving at an event looking gorgeous with sexy bright lips and after 1 drink your previously gorgeous pout is left naked with only a rim of lip liner.

HEAN Vitamin Cocktail Intense Lipstick

I had tried HEAN lipstick last year in NUDE and found that it really did last all day (including though a 3 course meal with wine and coffee), so when the time came to go bold I knew exactly where to go.

HEAN is a Polish company producing make-up and beauty care products that is completely cruelty free – NO testing on animals at all. It is also hypoallergenic so is suitable for sensitive skins.

The long wearing lipsticks are a silky cream formula containing a special ‘lip base conditioner’,  apricot butter and Vitamin E which soothes protects and nourishes dry lips – unlike other bright pigments that dry the lips out.

If you REALLY want a long lasting lipstick (I applied a dark Burgundy in the morning, went to a 3 course media lunch and it was still on) – HEAN Vitamin Cocktail Intense Lipstick is the answer – and believe you me, I have tried a multitude of lipsticks in my time!

Availble for R115 online at Glamore Cosmetics

With matte lips being the hot trend this winter, when the new L’Oreal Infallible Matte Max designer lip pens arrived at our office I quickly nabbed them both. Call me selfish, but I could not resist their gorgeous bright colours “Oops I Pink it Again” – a gorgeous plum-cherry pink and “Disturbia” – the perfect bright orange-coral that I have been looking for.

They’re the first ever product on the market that feature a gel to powder formula – like an eyeshadow for your lips, allowing you to create a whole variety of looks, from a wash of colour, to ombre, to a bold intense matte finish.

The shape of the sponge applicator makes it easy to apply and outline your lips. The colours are enriched with micro-oils for a velvety-soft feel that lasts quite well, although they rub off slightly while eating/drinking they do leave a stain on the lips.
