Timberland Women’s Store in JHB
Timberland has opened their first Women’s store in South Africa at Hyde Park Shopping Centre, Johannesburg. For those women who want to wear ethically sourced and made brands and who want to ensure that their consumerism has a low-environmental impact, then Timberland is the place for them to shop.
“In other parts of the world, the women’s Timberland range is sold in conjunction with the main men’s range. Now, Timberland made the decision to open a women’s footwear store independent from its male range counterpart,” said Moosa Mayet, general manager Timberland SA.
Timberland’s chief mission is to equip people to make a difference in their world. “We do this by creating outstanding products and by trying to make a difference in the communities where we live and work,” he said.
One part Timberland’s history and its future is its commitment to “doing the right thing”. Timberland won an award in the UK for “The Best Ethical Footwear and Accessories Brand.”
Established in 1978, with headquarters in the US, Timberland is sold worldwide through independent retailers, better-grade department stores and athletic specialty stores, in addition to Timberland’s own retail locations.
It employs 5600 people around the world with an annual estimated turnover of $1.4-billion.
