The main area of the hotel makes extensive use of wood, glass, and rock cladding, blending perfectly into the natural surroundings.

Accommodation: Grand Deluxe Suite

We stayed in a stylishly decorated but comfortable Grand Deluxe Suite- perfect for a family (we had our two and a half year old twins with us).

There is a separate bedroom and lounge which is divided by wooden sliding doors – great for family’s as you can still close the doors where the kids are sleeping for a bit of privacy.

Our room had a double sofa bed for the kids in the lounge area. The spacious bathroom has ample room for everyone to mill around and not bother each other. It has a shower and huge bathtub. All rooms have, tea and coffee making equipment, minibars and desks, as well as free WiFi. There is also an option of an inter-leading room for larger family’s.

Our room offered stunning vistas of the lagoon and golf course from a large wrap-around balcony which my kids loved. All rooms either offer a large balcony or a patio / terrace with mountain or river views.

We organised a baby sitter for the evening and enjoyed a very civilized evening without kids, starting with pre-dinner drinks in the relaxed Laguna Lounge before making our way down to the dinner buffet in the Jumani Buffet Restaurant (apparently the al-a-carte restaurant was not open).

The complimentary breakfast buffet is served in the Jumani buffet restaurant, which features South African and international cuisine and was excellent – there is something for everyone.

There are 2 outdoor pools with a poolside bar and a separate kids play area. The award winning spa offers an array of treatment and hydrotherapy options.

We left the next day feeling refreshed and relaxed after just one night away. We will definitely be back for another visit.

For a perfect break from the city, check out their website for special offers.
