Bigger, better and bursting with energy!

The Good Food & Wine Show spoiled Capetonians to all the ingredients that make it the premier culinary event on the African continent.

The crowds were wowed by the revamped show and took to social media to express their approval. On Facebook, one fan said: “What an incredible experience I had at the Good Food & Wine Show. Way better than previous years.

Bringing local and international flavour to the show, held from 27 – 29 May at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, were kitchen icons George Calombaris, Adriano Zumbo, Jenny Morris, J’Something, Sarah Graham and Siba Mtongana. Visitors got the chance to see, cook with and sample dishes made by these star chefs at the various theatres – almost all of which were free of charge for the very first time to give more people more opportunities to see their favourite chefs in action.

On his first South African Good Food & Wine Show experience Calombaris said: “This has been an amazing experience. I have loved sharing recipes from my new cookbook and thoroughly enjoyed meeting and mingling with MasterChef fans. Cape Town is such a beautiful place and I can’t wait to come back!”

Enjoying his second time on the show was Mi Casa frontman and wannabe chef J’Something. He shared: “It is on a whole other level. I love the openness of it all. I think that the crowd was amazing and that all the food and goodies that were showcased were really phenomenal.”
